    A Sunday in Edinburgh

    There’s no better way to get to know a place than to sightsee from above. There are two stunning places in Edinburgh where this can be accomplished: Calton Hill, and Arthur’s Seat. The former is rather easier to climb than the latter, but no matter which you choose, you’ll feel wholly accomplished. From the top of Arthur’s Seat is a 360 degree view of Edinburgh and, of course, the sea. At the time I went it was quite cold, and the wind battered the hikers relentlessly, so by the time I reached the bottom I was about ready for a nice hot mug of coffee. Luckily for you, there are some great tours right out of Edinburgh up to the Highlands and Loch Ness.
